Toddler Teacher

New School Montessori | Lancaster, PA

New School Montessori is seeking a warm, dependable, and engaging Montessori-trained Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood team. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with children ages 15 months to 3 years and values a calm, respectful, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.

The Toddler Teacher will create a nurturing Montessori classroom where children can build independence, develop language and social skills, and explore through purposeful, hands-on learning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a safe, organized, and authentic Montessori toddler environment
• Present developmentally appropriate Montessori lessons and activities
• Support children with toileting, meals, rest, transitions, and daily routines
• Guide children using positive, respectful, and consistent classroom practices
• Observe and document student growth and development
• Communicate professionally with families and colleagues
• Work collaboratively with the teaching team
• Follow all school, health, safety, and licensing requirements

Qualifications

• Montessori credential for the Infant and Toddler level from a MACTE approved training program
• Experience working with children ages 15 months to 3 years
• A patient, dependable, and caring approach
• Strong communication, observation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children
• Relevant early childhood education experience or credentials
