Device Brand Studio, an internal agency within the Devices group at Amazon, is seeking a talented, creative Creative Director to help bring new Amazon offerings to market, products, services, and features within our devices portfolio. The Creative Director will own brand identity and creative execution for a product line or campaign within Amazon Devices, including new-to-world and new-to-Amazon launches. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of branding, storytelling, and visual identity, and an ability to work independently and alongside other design team members, creatives, and business partners. You will collaborate with and direct copywriters, visual, retail, and brand designers in developing brand stories, quickly bringing concepts to life, then iterating and refining as you factor in customer and business requirements. You will pitch brand stories to stakeholders, identify problems early, and keep the creative team moving toward a clear outcome. You should have working knowledge of brand guidelines, concept decks, and creative briefs at a top consumer-facing brand like Amazon, and be comfortable presenting to stakeholders from entry-level through senior leadership. Because the work is varied, fast-paced, and high pressure, you should have strong communication and collaboration skills. You will partner with peers across customer research, brand strategy, content strategy, copy, art direction, retail, go-to-market, and site merchandising to hit key deliverables. You will develop concepts and campaign work that tells a cohesive story across product detail pages, merchandising assets, retail fixtures, and packaging. This role is for a strong creative lead with hands-on experience in the design space, who can direct internal and external creative resources and present work clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
